Greetings to all!
It is with immense joy and gratitude that I extend a warm welcome to each one of you—students, parents, staff members, and well-wishers of Divine Child School, Bidkin.
Divine Child School belongs to the esteemed congregation of the Poor Sisters of Our Lady, whose founder is the Servant of God, Rev. Fr. George Fernandes. His life of selfless service, deep spirituality, and commitment to the upliftment of the poor continues to inspire us in our mission of education. Our congregation has always believed in the transformative power of education and has dedicated itself wholeheartedly to this noble cause.
Years ago, when our sisters first visited Bidkin village, they were moved by the simplicity and sincerity of its people. However, one pressing concern caught their attention—many children in the village were deprived of education. Seeing young lives with potential being denied the light of knowledge stirred their hearts deeply. With unwavering faith and a firm resolve, our sisters envisioned a school that would cater to the educational needs of the children in this area. Thus, Divine Child School was born—not merely as an institution, but as a mission, a movement, and a home of learning and love.
Since its inception, Divine Child School has been rooted in values of service, inclusiveness, and excellence. We sisters work selflessly and with deep dedication to offer a high standard of education. Our aim is not just to teach subjects, but to shape lives. We believe that every child is unique and possesses immense potential. It is our sacred duty to help them discover their talents, develop their character, and nurture their dreams.
Education at Divine Child School is holistic. We focus on the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical, and social growth of each student. Our dedicated staff members, who are continuously trained and supported, are not just teachers—they are mentors, guides, and companions in the journey of learning. We take special care in training our teachers to be not only knowledgeable educators but also compassionate human beings who model the values we seek to instill in our students.
Divine Child School is more than a building or a classroom. It is a divine family—a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to spread their wings and fly high. We provide them with a strong academic foundation, but we also go beyond books. Our curriculum is enriched with co-curricular and extracurricular activities that help students develop confidence, creativity, leadership, and teamwork.
Our mission is to empower our students to become responsible citizens and compassionate human beings. We envision a future where every Divine Child student is someone of value in society—someone who makes a difference, serves the nation, and contributes to a better world. We want our students not just to succeed academically, but to be happy, balanced, and ethical individuals who live meaningful lives.
At Divine Child School, we welcome everyone—irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or background. We believe that diversity enriches our community, and we strive to create an atmosphere of respect, acceptance, and unity. We are committed to the ideal that education should be accessible to all and should bring light to every corner of society.
We also recognize the importance of working in partnership with parents. You, dear parents, are the first educators of your children, and your role in their journey is invaluable. We encourage you to be active participants in the life of the school, to support your children in their studies and personal growth, and to share with us the responsibility of forming them into good human beings.
Our students are the heart of our institution. Each child who enters our school brings with them a world of hopes and dreams. It is our joy to nurture those dreams and help them soar. We encourage our students to ask questions, think critically, express themselves, and strive for excellence in all they do. We want them to walk out of our school not only with good grades but with good values, strong faith, and a compassionate heart.
Our school is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of the world. We integrate technology in the classroom, promote innovative teaching methods, and keep ourselves updated with educational trends and best practices. But even as we move forward, we remain firmly rooted in the values and vision of our founding sisters—service, simplicity, love, and integrity.
To our dear students: Believe in yourself. Dream big. Work hard. Be kind. The world needs your light, your courage, and your love. Remember, greatness is not just in what you achieve, but in who you become. Let the values you learn at Divine Child School be your guiding light wherever you go.
To our teachers and staff: Thank you for your dedication, your patience, and your passion. Your efforts make a world of difference. Continue to inspire, to guide, and to lead with love.
To our parents and well-wishers: Thank you for your trust, your support, and your encouragement. Together, we are building a strong foundation for the future.
And finally, to everyone who walks through the gates of Divine Child School: Welcome to a family where love, learning, and faith come together. Welcome to a journey of growth, discovery, and transformation.
Let us work together in unity and with purpose to create not just successful students, but compassionate leaders. Let us build not just a school, but a better world—one child at a time.
May God bless us all and guide us in our mission.
With warm regards,
(Principal)
